Download Cisco Webex app

Students do not have a username or password to use with Webex. Simply download and install the app to your Windows or Mac computer.

There are a couple of different ways your instructors may be using Webex for your courses.

Through Brightspace - If your instructor has provided instructions to join meetings via Brightspace, there should be a Content topic with a name such as Webex or Lectures. Clicking on that topic should show a list of upcoming meetings for this course with a "join" button next to each. Plan to login, navigate to your course, and click the "join" button by the time the class session begins.

Scheduled Meeting via Email - Some meetings that use Webex are scheduled by the instructor and the student is invited to the meeting by email. If you receive an email with meeting information, you will need to click the link in the email at the appropriate time, enter the password provided in the email, and if you are asked to sign-in, click enter meeting as a guest. You will then enter your name and email address to join the meeting.

Students do not have a username/password to access Panopto. Panopto authentication is provided through Brightspace.

Students will typically access videos created with Panopto by logging into Brightspace, clicking on a course, and then clicking Toolbox > Panopto Recordings. The Panopto Recordings page should open within the course in Brightspace.

In some rare cases, an instructor may post a video assignment for students to complete using Panopto. In this situation, you will access Panopto as described above but for this course only, you will have a "Create" button near the top of the page that you will be able to use to either record your video assignment or upload a video create outside of Panopto.

Students can, and are encouraged to, login with their credentials when using the computers in the Weaver Library and campus computer labs.
