Show your Great Falls College MSU spirit with a virtual background!

Feel free to download these photos to use as a virtual background for any video conferencing software that allows this functionality, such as Webex, Zoom, and Teams. Instructions for setting a virtual background in each of these three platforms are listed below the images. 

How to download the images

  1. Right-click on an image and click "Save image as...".
  2. Browse to the location you wish to save the image on your device.
  3. Click the Save button.

How to set a virtual background in Webex

  1. Open the Webex application on your computer and click Start a Meeting.
  2. Make sure video is turned on and look for a button near the top right of your camera image that says Change background. Once you've found it, click on Change background.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the default background images and click on the + (plus) icon.
  4. Browse your computer for the previously downloaded background and double-click on it.
  5. Note: The image must appear reversed for you in order for the other meeting participants to see it correctly. If the image appears correct to you, click on the small "Mirror My Video" button next to "Change background" to flip it. 

How to set a virtual background in Zoom

  1. Open the Zoom application on your computer and click Start a Meeting.
  2. Click the small upward arrow next to the Stop Video icon (if your video is not started, you will need to start it first).
  3. Select Choose Virtual Background.
  4. Click on the small + (plus) icon above the default images.
  5. Browse your computer for the previously downloaded background and double-click on it.
  6. Check the Mirror My Video checkbox. The image will look backwards to you but will appear normal to the person viewing your video feed.

How to set a virtual background in Teams

  1. Open Microsoft Teams on your computer and click Meet to start a meeting.
  2. If your video is turned off, click on the slider button to turn video on.
  3. Click Background Filters.
  4. A list of default backgrounds should appear on the right side of the window.
  5. Click on Add new.
  6. Browse your computer for the previously downloaded background and double-click on it.
